Congratulations to Victoria Farrell and the Scouts for raising a magnificent £1,555 at the Christmas Market in November 2021.Between stall holders, entry fee, raffle tickets and the mulled wine a total of £1,555 was raised for village facilities and projects. This is an amazing amount so thank you to everyone who organised, took part and came on the day.
Special thanks to all of the Scouts who took part standing outside in the awful weather selling mulled wine and putting tents and flooring away.
The money raised will be shared between the Village Hall committee and the ECA.
December 6th 2021 - It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of our friend and ECA Trustee Barry Halliwell. Barry was a valued member of the ECA team and will be missed by us all. Our sympathies go to Ruth, Emma and the rest of the family.
December 2021 is the last magazine from the current editorial team but we are pleased that a new team is coming together to keep the magazine going. We will let them introduce themselves in their own time but a big thank you to everyone who has stepped forward and to all the other volunteers who keep the magazine going.

September 2021 - Elsenham News deliveries have restarted. Thank you to the editorial team and all the deliverers.
- MEMORIAL HALL REOPENING
The Memorial Hall is available for youth & excerise groups (in line with latest Government guidance).
A Toilet in the Hall is open so that the Youth Football Teams can resume their games
We will now take bookings (but in line with government guidance) for after 21st June 2021.
I have no doubt you will understand our actions and we do this with the best interest of our hall users at heart. It may also allow us to undertake some minor repairs that we have been unable to do when we were in the fortunate position of hall bookings being at full capacity.
We will advise the village as soon as there is any change to this or if there is any relevant information to share.

Flower Show Society Plant Sale 2020
We would like to thank you for supporting us by buying plants ‘from a distance’ in a very different way this year.
When we began taking our cuttings in the autumn and even when we were sowing our seeds in February, we could never have imagined how different our sale would need to be in 2020. It seems, however, that sales have surpassed all expectations and we are so grateful to all of you who now have our plants in your possession.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis the April - August editions of Elsenham News were not being printed.
