Following the roaring success of the Elsenham Pop-Up Market in June, the village is holding a charity seasonal variation: The Elsenham Christmas Market on Saturday 27th November between 2pm – 9pm!
Organiser and stall holders are aiming to put on a really Christmas-feeling fun filled day for the village and beyond. With twinkling lights, festive gifts and goodies galore! Once again organisers are asking people to support their very local business/crafting community and fundraising for village projects.
Festive stall holders are filling BOTH the village hall and the memorial hall. Just a short walk between the two. Visiting both venues is a must to not miss out! Businesses/crafters are returning from the summer pop-up but LOTS of NEW stall holders are coming too. Leatherworkers, Christmas cards, quilt makers, festive decorations, delicious artisan panettone and much, much more...providing wonderful locally-made Christmas gift ideas for all ages! There will be a Tea and cake cafe in the Memorial Hall, ran by Coco Fleur, a village-based cake maker.
Outside market area with local favourites: Waffle + Co, Serve and The Noodle & Dumpling Bar located in the lower car park on the playing field. Come for a late lunch, afternoon tea or get your Saturday night take away in!
Village organisations are getting involved too! The local Scout troop have come-up fundraising trumps again by hosting a mulled wine/cider tent in the outside market. They are also kindly setting up a mess tent seating area for visitors to sit and enjoy all the foodie delights! Both the tennis and bowls clubs are opening their doors/court on the day adding further interest for visitors.
